Vacuum-based purifiers are a cornerstone of YUNENG’s product line. Unlike static filters, vacuum oil purifiers use powerful vacuum pumps to strip water and gases from oil. Machines like the 6,000 LPH ZJA6 (high-vacuum) and 3,000 LPH ZJA3 (vacuum) employ this approach to deliver exceptionally dry, clean oil.
“In the high-vacuum purifier, a double-stage process efficiently removes moisture, dissolved gases, and particulate contaminants from transformer oil,” explains YUNENG. This dual process yields oil with much higher breakdown voltage and improved stability. For example, the 6,000 LPH high-vacuum unit achieves vacuum levels as low as 5 Pa and filtering accuracy to 1 μm, producing oil with <5 ppm water and <0.3% air.
High-vacuum advantages:
Comprehensive Purification: Vacuum dehydration followed by fine filtration cleans multiple contaminants in one system. By targeting moisture and then solids, these purifiers reach purities unattainable by single-stage units.
Enhanced Dielectric Strength: The result is transformer oil with much higher dielectric strength. Cleaner oil “enhances insulation and cooling efficiency, reducing energy losses” and greatly extending transformer life. Indeed, removing just 0.01% water can roughly double oil BDV. Vacuum purifiers push water levels below 5 ppm, delivering BDV well above 75 kV for new oil.
Effective for New Oil Fill & Maintenance: These systems are ideal when commissioning new transformers or refilling after repair. YUNENG notes that even brand-new oil often contains moisture from storage; a vacuum purifier “polishes” this oil to spec before filling. It can also be used to pull a vacuum on the empty tank and then inject ultra-dry oil, preventing re-contamination.
