Few brands can boast a history that’s as deeply and richly intertwined with skateboarding and skate culture as Vans. With shoes like the Sk8-Hi, the Vans Authentic Herren, and the Old Skool under their belt, the California-based brand truly has their finger on the pulse and legacy of skateboarding. But the brand with the jazz stripe does more than just skate: they’re extremely involved in surfing as well, hosting surfing tournaments and boasting a roster full of world class surfers like Dane Reynolds as well.

Dubbed the Vans Authentic Damen Blank Tapes, this latest collab between the two ins inspired by VHS tapes. The Vans Authentic is made to mimic the look of a blank VHS tape. It features a Black suede and nylon upper equipped with blank VHS cassette labeling, and a translucent plastic tongue reminiscent of the cassette’s magnetic tape spool. The midsole also comes with more VHS-inspired labeling, the outsole features an RGB color model and the footbed sports a holographic Bodega print, in the style of anti-pirating security stickers. Special packaging designed to resemble the blank VHS cases will also come with the shoe. Not pictured is the matching apparel.

The Union x Vans Collection will include both the Vans Authentic Günstig Kaufen and Vans Slip-On covered in a Black and White motif consisting of a Black canvas upper paired up with a White polka dot pattern. Keeping things simple, the shoes come with Black or White laces (Authentic), White midsoles and waffle rubber outsoles. A small Orange Union tag on the lateral side of the shoe adds a bit of a collab feel to the shoe.

The Comme des Vans Authentic Online Bestellen features a n all-over “CDG” print done in White canvas with Black lettering. Adding another dimension to the shoe is the is the added “CDG” branding done in a bolder font placed on the toe region of the shoe. White laces, lining and soles round out the main features of the shoe.
