Terry cotton has been used for the sock liner, completing the blacked-out look.Contrasting the dark upper are the numerous hints of gold, appearing prominently on the tongue with the highlighted Jumpman logo embroidery, as well as on the rear, where the heel tab comes in chrome gold and the “23” logo is stamped alongside more Jumpman embroidery.

The AJ 6 also saw the return of a solid rubber outsole, due to complaints of the AJ 5 having a slippery sole. Along with a perforated upper, Tinker had a stylized “23” stitched on as the overlays on this silhouette.
